I bought the Black & Decker Blower Vac today, to use for leaf cleanup in the fall, and to use today in place of raking up excess grass cuttings from my last 2 lawn mowings. it worked great, and picked up about .75 acres of lawn debris that was grass clippings that had dried. it did clog up about 2 times for grass that was medium moist, but once I freed up the tube from grass, it was back to work as normal.

it has good power, can be a little heavy toward the end of a long job, but overall I'd recommend if for leaf, and grass clipping pickup. it was easy to assemble, is easy to attach and de-tach the leaf bag. I haven't used the leaf collection tube yet, but will this fall. today I only used the leaf bag, and the grass was shredded really well, so that I had about 4 bags of debris to empty, and I have a big lawn.

As a small-framed, over-75 woman I wondered if I'd bitten off more than I could chew with this yard vac, but I was pleasantly surprised on all counts. It was easy to put together (except for joining the vacuum tube to the motor, where I had to apply a light coat of WD-40 with a rag, and a few taps of a rubber mallet). The assembled machine did not feel too heavy at all during the 15-minute job of cleaning the leaves out of my carport and walkway. It was well balanced and easy to manipulate, and the cord did not get in the way as I had feared. (I spent hours looking for a cordless one, in vain.) I used 35 db ear plugs but on low speed I don't think I really needed them. The vac picked up well on the low speed without sucking in the pea gravel along with the leaves. The leaf bag emptied easily, but the narrow strap is better with cushioning on the shoulder (I used a piece of pipe-protector foam). The four stars is because the cloth bag let out a lot of fine dust, so next time I'll try putting a plastic bag over it, unless it interferes with the suction. I feel the affordable price was well worth it, because getting leaves out of tight spaces with a broom is hard, while the BV3600 makes short work of a tedious job.

Almost immediately returned the vac/blower because it looked used when I received it. (Sidenote: this is the third Green Works product I have purchased from Amazon, and neither of the others looked even slightly used). I am glad I didn't return it. I have used it 5 or 6 times as a vac - which is really the reason I purchased it. It picks up grass clippings, tree droppings and leaves very well. And things are picked up much better when they are dry....wet leaves are hard to pick up.

This is the first vac I have owned, and I love it! It is so much easier to vac up lawn stuff, rather than raking, sweeping, stooping and scooping.
